Construction contractor prosecuted for causing embankment collapse causing death
On July 14, Da Lat City Police (Lam Dong) announced that they had decided to prosecute the case and prosecute Tran Quang Cong (born 1984), a construction contractor in Da Lat City, to investigate the violation of labor safety regulations, causing the embankment to collapse and kill a worker.
The fatal accident occurred on March 9 at a construction site on Ngo Thi Sy Street, Ward 4, Da Lat City. At that time, Mr. Ngo Van Giang (born in 1975), from Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province, and a number of other workers were cleaning up at the construction site when suddenly a newly dug embankment about 4 meters high collapsed, completely burying Mr. Giang.
When people brought Mr. Giang to the ground, the victim was dead.
During the investigation, the authorities determined that the construction unit had violated regulations on ensuring labor safety, causing serious consequences.
