Prosecution of couple running explosives trafficking ring
(Baonghean.vn) - To make a profit, a couple in Hoang Mai town bought dozens of kilograms of explosives and other materials to sell to fishermen for a long time and were recently arrested by authorities.

At about 1:45 a.m. on July 15, Hoang Mai Town Police successfully broke up a case and urgently arrested Dau Dinh Thanh (born in 1952, Dong Tien hamlet, Quynh Lap commune) for illegally buying and selling explosives.
Police seized 60 kg of explosives at the scene.
Conducting an urgent search of the residence of Thanh and his wife Nguyen Thi Linh (born in 1956), the police continued to seize 33 kg of explosives, 150 meters of slow-burning wire and 100 detonators. The total amount of explosives seized was 93 kg, 100 detonators, and 150 meters of slow-burning wire. At the police station, the subjects admitted all their crimes.

According to the statements of the subjects, realizing the need to use explosives to exploit seafood of some ships and boats operating near shore in Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu, they found sources of goods and then divided them into small pieces to sell for profit.
Previously, Quynh Luu District Police also successfully dismantled a large-scale illegal explosives trading ring, arresting Nguyen Thi Linh (born in 1993), residing in Block 7, Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, and seizing 35 kg of explosives, 250 detonators, and 4 kg of firecrackers. Linh's activities have been going on for nearly a year.
The subject purchased and transported a large amount of explosives to the area for sale to boat owners. To avoid detection, Linh only sold large quantities to regular customers, and refused to do business with individual customers who bought small amounts. During this process, Linh frequently changed methods and delivery locations to avoid suspicion and monitoring.
At the police station, Linh confessed to all of his actions. Accordingly, after purchasing explosives at a price of 70,000 - 100,000 VND/kg, Linh resold them to customers at a price of 300,000 - 400,000 VND/kg.
