In early May, Ngu Hanh Son district police discovered two cases of 6 and 14 people entering the country with business and labor visas, but these "experts" did not know that the business sponsored their entry.
Checking the house where the six foreigners were staying, the police temporarily seized three laptops and three desktop computers that the group was using to access websites related to football betting activities.
As soon as the incident was discovered, the city police accepted the case and coordinated the investigation. Because it involved foreigners, the Da Nang police leadership directly directed appropriate response and quick handling.

"We will soon prosecute the accused to investigate and widely inform," General Vien said, adding that there were Vietnamese people who assisted these "expert" groups, because it is not natural for foreigners to enter Vietnam.
According to General Vien, this ring took advantage of the State's humanitarian policy to bring people into the country under the guise of experts. After completing the 14-day quarantine period, these "experts" did not work at other local businesses as registered but instead came to Da Nang to stay.
He said that people as well as the police force were "tired" of foreigners entering the country illegally, doing unclear things, and even committing crimes.
"Those who assist, especially in the current context of the Covid-19 epidemic, will be severely punished, even with aggravating circumstances. The view of Da Nang police is that there is no forbidden zone in this matter," the Director of Da Nang Police affirmed.
Regarding the management of foreigners, Da Nang police have been "operating the whole system" so that if there is a case of illegal entry, it will be detected immediately. Since the beginning of the year, the city police have detected 8 cases, with 24 illegal entrants (22 Chinese, 2 Vietnamese).
The police have proposed to prosecute 2 cases with 5 defendants; are investigating and handling 5 cases with 33 defendants for the act of organizing illegal entry for others, including a ring that organized illegal entry of foreigners from the border to provinces and cities of Vietnam, and when they arrived in Da Nang, they were discovered and arrested.
