Prosecution of the case of violating epidemic prevention and control at Amida beauty salon
On the morning of May 13, Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of Da Nang City Police, announced that he had initiated a criminal case related to the act of "Violating regulations on labor safety, labor hygiene, and safety in crowded places" under Article 295 of the Penal Code, which occurred at Amida beauty salon.

Amida Beauty Salon has 2 locations at 222 Phan Chau Trinh, Hai Chau District and 539 Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City. These are 2 Covid-19 outbreaks with dozens of employees working at the beauty salons infected, including the General Director NTPA (28 years old, residing in F.Home apartment building, Thach Thang ward, Hai Chau district).
In the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, on April 29, 2021, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a document requesting "Continue to limit unnecessary mass gatherings; in case of organization, strictly implement measures to ensure safety, prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic...; strictly handle violations according to regulations".

However, on May 2, Amida Beauty Salon organized a lecture and training session with the presence of most of the staff and workers. Those who attended this event did not wear masks, did not ensure distance and spread the disease to the community. Ms. NTPA herself also went to many locations and came into contact with many people after having symptoms of cough, fever, loss of taste...
Recently, a clip recorded at a staff training session on May 2 at Amida was posted on social media, showing many violations by this beauty salon, causing public outrage and anger.
Therefore, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested functional agencies to focus on detecting and strictly handling violations of anti-epidemic measures; including violations of the "5K" leading to infection, dishonest declarations, and violations in quarantine areas.
