No traffic lights, the residential level crossing in Dien Chau is a potential danger
(Baonghean.vn) - From May 27 to June 6 alone, there were 2 railway accidents in Dien Chau district, once again sounding the alarm about the dangers of civilian level crossings.
Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau) has a railway line passing through it and is always in a state of accident warning.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Trung - Chairman of Dien Hong Commune People's Committee said: The railway passes through the commune for about 3 km, with 6 residential level crossings. What is especially dangerous is that all 6 residential level crossings do not have signal lights or bells to warn passersby, the risk of railway traffic accidents is very high.

From 2016 to present, Dien Hong has had 2 railway accidents north of Cau Loi. The commune has requested the railway industry to install signal lights and bells at this accident-prone spot, but to date they have not been installed.
Recently, there were 2 accidents in Dien Chau, one of which happened on May 27 in Dien An.go outaccident between a tanker truck and a cargo train. On June 6, the Thong Nhat train SE6 traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, when reaching the spontaneous crossing through Dien Truong commune, crashed into the motorbike with license plate 37P3 - 1719 of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (born in 1976, residing in hamlet 1, Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau) which was stuck on the railway.

Major Nguyen Hong Thuan, Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Dien Chau District Police, said: The district has more than 30 km of railway, including 20 civilian level crossings.
The current problem is that in addition to the lack of traffic lights and warning bells at the level crossings, the railway tracks are 15-20 cm higher than the road. There are no paving slabs at the intersections, so vehicles often get stuck when passing.

The Yen Ly level crossing at km 270+575 on the North-South railway through Dien Yen commune is still not closed, and there is a risk of an accident happening at any time.
The current issue is the need for good coordination between sectors to ensure traffic safety. In communes, it is necessary to organize guards at high-risk level crossings, review all signs, and add warning signs at residential level crossings to ensure safety for passersby.

People arbitrarily broke the fence to open a path across the railway at Yen Ly intersection.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Yen Ly level crossing at km 270 + 575 on the North-South railway through Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district was closed and installed with a hard median strip and stopped by the Ministry of Transport and the Nghe An Traffic Safety Board. However, recently, some people have arbitrarily broken the barrier to illegally open a path across the railway.
