Can't start car because battery is dead, what to do?
The battery is the source of electricity for the car when it is not started. Therefore, a dead battery makes it impossible to start the car.
Many drivers are extremely confused when their car battery suddenly runs out of power. How to fix the problem of the battery not starting when the battery is dead is a concern of many people, especially "new drivers".
First of all, we need to understand the basic causes of car batteries running out of power.
Causes of car battery failure
Leaving the car in the house for a long time without operation can cause the battery to lose power. Therefore, even if you do not go there, occasionally (about 1 week), the owner should start the car for about 5 - 10 minutes to ensure that the car will operate well when needed.
The second reason why a car battery has no power is because the battery is damaged and cannot hold power. In many cases, after just one night, the car will not start. If this is the case, we should replace the battery with a new one.

Dead car battery is a common fault. |
The third reason is when stopping or resting, the driver forgets to turn off electrical devices such as lights, turn signals, DVD players, etc. Because the battery maintains power for a short time, not turning off electrical devices in the car can lead to the battery running out of power and the car not being able to start.
The fourth reason is that when moving in flooded areas, cars are susceptible to short circuits, causing the battery to lose all charge.
These are the basic causes of the car not starting due to weak electricity. So, what should be done to fix this situation?
How to fix a car that runs out of battery
With manual transmission vehicles, the driver can ask someone to push the car and then shift into gear to start the car. It is recommended to shift into high gear (4th or 5th) to make pushing easier and the car easier to start. However, this method cannot be applied to vehicles equipped with automatic transmission.
The most common way is to prepare two separate electrical wires about 2 meters long in the car to jump start the battery in case of a problem. Use a red wire to connect the two positive terminals, a black wire to connect the two negative terminals.
When the battery is out of charge and the car still has electricity, according to convention, the red wire is positive and the black wire is negative. |

Connect the car that is still running normally to the dead car to charge it. After cleaning the battery terminals, connect the wires according to the convention (red +; black -). After charging for about 5 to 10 minutes, the battery will have enough power to start the car. This method is not easy to do when traveling in mountainous areas or late at night.
To overcome this situation, drivers can prepare a spare battery or battery charger.
