Inspecting the implementation of the resolution on building human and cultural families in Con Cuong
(Baonghean.vn) - Doing a good job of preserving cultural identity and absorbing cultural quintessence to develop tourism - that is the direction of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Delegation at the working session with Con Cuong district.
Continuing the working program, on August 7, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Delegation inspected, reviewed and evaluated the implementation of Resolution No. 05 - NQ/TU, dated December 14, 2016 of the Provincial Party Committee on building cultural people and cultural families of Nghe An to meet the requirements of integration and development in Con Cuong district.

In the morning, the delegation conducted a survey in Bong Khe commune. Currently, the commune has 1,600 households, most of whom are Thai and Kinh ethnic groups, which have been recognized as meeting new rural standards. Implementing Resolution 05, the commune has achieved important results, with the rate of cultural families reaching 88.6%; cultural villages, hamlets, and blocks reaching 100%; schools in the area have included Vi and Giam folk songs in the teaching curriculum; built a model of Thai Folk Song Club and Agricultural Cooperative associated with community tourism...

In the afternoon, the delegation worked with leaders and representatives of departments and offices of Con Cuong district. After nearly 3 years of implementing Resolution 05, Con Cuong has had positive changes in cultural and social life. The rate of cultural families is 64.9%; cultural villages, hamlets, and blocks are 63%; 3 communes have standard cultural institutions; 2 communes have met new rural standards; 100% of communes and towns have built a model of "Happy Family" clubs; 100% of schools have included Vi and Giam folk songs in the teaching program.
In particular, the work of preserving and promoting cultural identity through festivals and the model of Thai Folk Song Clubs (25 clubs), brocade weaving cooperatives and community tourism sites is really effective.
Besides, there are still limitations such as lack of investment resources for cultural activities; some villages and hamlets do not pay due attention to building cultural life, there is still a situation of having 3 or more children, and awareness of environmental protection is still limited. Some social evils such as gambling, lottery, drugs have not been pushed back...

The reason is that some Party committees and authorities, especially at the village level, have not fully recognized the importance of culture; coordination between levels and sectors is not close; socio-economic conditions are still difficult, and budget sources are not proactive.
At the meeting, members of the Inspection Team frankly discussed issues that need to be further clarified, such as coordination between levels and sectors in the implementation of Resolution 05. And the behavioral culture of officials and civil servants in the performance of public duties; solutions to increase resources for culture; the role of propaganda and mobilization work; implementation of the project to preserve cultural identity...
In his concluding remarks, Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department noted that in the process of implementing the Resolution, in addition to preserving the identity, it is necessary to selectively absorb the quintessence, contributing to promoting tourism development. At the same time, review the unachieved targets and promptly find solutions to overcome them; integrate the contents to save time and costs, increase efficiency...
