(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 11, the second car swept away by floodwaters in Ky Son district is being salvaged. However, by late afternoon, the car still could not be brought to shore.

On October 11, after determining the location of the second car swept away by floodwaters in Ky Son, the car owner asked for help to salvage it. The car drifted from Muong Xen town to Hom village, Huu Kiem commune, about 10 km from the starting point.

Mr. La Van Ha - Chairman of the People's Committee of Huu Kiem Commune said that as of 5:00 p.m. on October 11, the car still could not be salvaged to shore because sand had flooded into the car's compartment. Currently, the car is more than half submerged, in the middle of the Nam Mo River, through Hom Village, Huu Kiem Commune. At the time of salvage, the river water was still very high and flowing rapidly, making it very difficult to clear the sand around the car to bring it to shore.

"We may have to wait for the water to recede before we can dig up the sand around the car, only then can we move the car to shore," said Mr. Ha.

In addition to the above mentioned car, the historic flood on the night of October 1 and the morning of October 2 in Ky Son district also swept away another car (which has been salvaged). The flash flood also submerged and buried 11 other cars, sweeping away72 motorbikes, burying 118 motorbikes and bicycles (91 motorbikes, 3 electric motorbikes, 24 bicycles).
