The miracle of reaching the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup is a "celebratory gift" for captain Que Ngoc Hai's wedding anniversary.

"One year wedding anniversary. Thank you for everything that happened in this wonderful year and many more years like this. I love you, I will come back but not today", Que Ngoc Hai shared on his personal page, along with a photo of him wearing a wedding ring on his finger but wrapped it to ensure safety during the competition. Yesterday, January 20th, marked the one-year anniversary of Ngoc Hai and Thuy Phuong (Miss Vinh University) getting married. On the wedding day last year, some of his teammates could not attend because they were participating in the U23 Asian tournament. This year, Ngoc Hai and his teammates made a feat when they defeated Jordan in the 1/8 round of the Asian Cup.
