Reflection on 'Youth Journey Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2022'

"Youth Journey Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" is a practical program aiming to celebrate the 132nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1980 - May 19, 2022); welcome the success of the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province, the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022 - 2027; pay tribute to the Mat Island soldiers who are day and night firmly holding their guns, protecting every inch of the island and the sacred sky and sea of ​​the Fatherland.

The Mat Island Combined Battalion is an important force, playing a core role in carrying out the task of maintaining security on the sea route. Over the past years, the officers and soldiers here have done well in combat readiness training, participating in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters such as storms and floods, searching and rescuing... further strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people.

During the program, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the memorial of heroic martyrs on Mat Island, expressing respect and gratitude to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation; organized a cultural exchange program; showed propaganda films, and gave gifts to officers and soldiers performing duties on the island.

Over the past years, responding to the Border and Island Sentiment Movement launched by the Central Youth Union, together with the youth of the whole country, Nghe An youth have had many meaningful and practical activities demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the youth towards the armed forces units.

In order to encourage officers and soldiers to complete their tasks well and strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Vinh City Youth Union presented youth projects worth 30 million VND; Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and Student Association presented 500 national flags; Vinh City Youth Union presented 1 water purifier.

As a unit stationed in the border area, participating in economic development; demonstrating the pioneering spirit of youth in carrying out important security - political - economic tasks of the province, representatives of the 9th Nghe An Youth Volunteer Corps presented meaningful gifts to soldiers working on the island.

Speaking at the exchange program“Journey of Youth following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2022", Comrade Tran Linh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union hopes that the program will become a "bridge" to strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the province's youth towards the armed forces. At the same time, this is a meaningful activity to promote propaganda work, creating a strong change in the awareness of cadres and youth union members about the strategic position of our country's seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to arousing and fostering love for the homeland, the seas and islands among the young generation of the whole province.
