(Baonghean.vn) - This year, Vinh City has 130 young men enlisting in the Vietnam People's Army and 14 young men joining the People's Public Security force. 100% of the young men meet the health and political quality requirements.

On the morning of February 7, Nghe An province simultaneously held a military handover ceremony in 21 districts, cities and towns. In Vinh city, the ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense.
On the side of Military Region 4, there were Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of the Military Region, Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Political Commissar of the Military Region and leaders of a number of Military Region agencies.

After receiving the Decision on assigning military enlistment quotas from the Provincial People's Committee and the Military Command's instructions on military recruitment, the City Military Service Council advised the Provincial and City People's Committees to allocate quotas, issue documents and instructions for the grassroots organizations to strictly implement from the stages of screening, preliminary selection, medical examination, infiltration, finalization of military numbers and issuing military enlistment orders in 2023 to ensure proper procedures.

This year, Vinh City has 130 young people (5 reserve) enlisting in the Vietnam People's Army and 14 young people joining the People's Public Security service. 100% of the young people meet the health and political quality requirements, including 27 young people who volunteered to join the army, 2 party members and fostering Party sympathy for 28 young people, 2 young people who are Catholics.
The Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches and organizations of Vinh city presented gifts to 39 disadvantaged young people, each gift worth 1 million VND. People's Committees of wards and communes and departments, branches and organizations presented gifts to each young person joining the army from 1 to 2 million VND.

Speaking at the military enlistment ceremony, Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee Tran Ngoc Tu believed that the 144 citizens who will join the army in 2023 will uphold the tradition of their homeland, the glorious tradition of generations of fathers and brothers, the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and the People's Public Security force will strive in all aspects, study, train, and strictly follow the discipline of the Army and the People's Public Security; and excellently complete all assigned tasks.

New recruit Le Duc Hai Ngan promises to promote the tradition of his hometown, the heroic Red City, to constantly study, practice, improve his knowledge, skills, and courage, overcome difficulties and hardships, and enthusiastically compete to achieve the highest achievements during his time serving in the army to be worthy of the trust and love of the Party Committee, local authorities, family, and clan, and to carry out Uncle Ho's teaching: "Wherever there is a need, there are youths, wherever there is difficulty, there are youths."

In 2023, Nghe An province has done a good job in selecting and calling citizens to join the army. Accordingly, the province has finalized the number of soldiers and issued a call-up order for 3,257 citizens to join the army (officially 3,102 citizens, reserve 155 citizens).
