What did the Department of Health leader say about 'the rate of basic vaccination in Nghe An is the 3rd lowest in the country'?
(Baonghean.vn) - The leader of Nghe An Department of Health said that the information about the rate of basic vaccination for people aged 18 and over in Nghe An being the third lowest in the country announced by the Ministry of Health is incorrect.
On the morning of January 17, Mr. Tran Minh Tue - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Health said that this unit has just sent a document reporting the results of COVID-19 vaccination to the Ministry of Health; Department of Preventive Medicine; Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology; National Expanded Immunization Program; Northern Expanded Immunization Program, requesting to review and adjust the data and vaccination rate in accordance with the actual situation of the locality.
This move came after the Ministry of Health issued a telegram reminding some localities with low basic vaccination rates. According to the Ministry of Health, the rate of basic vaccination of citizens aged 18 and over in Nghe An is only 76.8%, the third lowest in the country.
According to Mr. Tran Minh Tue, this data is not accurate. “Currently, the whole Nghe An province has 1,975,533 people over 18 years old who have received the basic vaccination. Corresponding to a rate of 108%,” Mr. Tue said, explaining that the rate exceeding 100% is due to the huge population movement in Nghe An.
