Provincial leaders survey community tourism models in 4 districts of Western Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Based on a survey of community tourism models in the four districts of Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son; the provincial working delegation noted difficulties and obstacles, and at the same time suggested and oriented some contents to promote the development of community tourism.
Within the framework of the conference program to evaluate 3 years of implementing Resolution No. 07, dated July 22, 2020 of the Provincial People's Council on a number of policies to support the development of community tourism in the province, on March 21, the provincial working delegation surveyed a number of community tourism models in 4 districts of Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son.
The survey delegation included Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of the National Tourism Administration; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen - National Coordinator of the Small Project Funding Program, Global Environment Facility (GEF).
On the provincial side, there were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades: Nguyen Manh Cuong - Director of the Department of Tourism and Chu Duc Thai - Head of the Department of Culture - Society, Provincial People's Council, and leaders of Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son districts.
Directly surveying some community tourism spots in Bong village (Anh Son district); Nua village and Bai Gao village (Con Cuong district); the working group recognized the proactiveness of localities and model owners in building community tourism models; associated with the implementation of support policies of the province and localities to maintain the operation of tourism models.
Along with that, the working group also gave comments, suggestions and directions for each model on how to ensure the model operates effectively and sustainably. In particular, special attention was paid to building and expanding the community cultural space imbued with national identity to create the uniqueness of each community tourism destination.
Along with that is building and expanding ecological space, creating diversity in tourism products, the unique appeal of the models; paying attention to environmental sanitation, impressive, unique and clean - beautiful tourism ecosystem.
Through the survey, the working group also noted the limitations and difficulties in community tourism models, on that basis to continue researching and issuing further policies together with the people to promote the development of community tourism in particular and tourism in the province in general.
The delegation also surveyed the Sang Le forest stop (Tuong Duong district), suggesting that Tuong Duong district build a food and beverage service and resting point to serve tourists on the long journey from Vinh city to Ky Son, Muong Long...
Surveying and learning about the activities of the community tourism site of Muong Long 1 village - Muong Long Eco Garden hotel (Ky Son district), the working group learned about the difficulties and problems of the unit and assigned Ky Son district to resolve the issues related to the conversion of land use purposes; at the same time, suggesting some directions to expand the scale, efficiency and sustainable development of the model.
