Leaders of Nghe An province offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 26, commemorating the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.


Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Heads of provincial political and social organizations. Leaders: Provincial Party Committee Office, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee Office, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Border Guard Command.
At the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan), the delegation respectfully offered flowers, offerings, and incense to express gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh.




During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh paid special attention to soldiers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs. He said: “The blood of those martyrs has made the revolutionary flag shine redder. The heroic sacrifice of martyrs has prepared our country for the blossoming of independence and the fruit of freedom.”
Despite being busy with thousands of things, every year on July 27, President Ho Chi Minh personally sent letters, gave gifts, visited wounded soldiers, families of martyrs and paid tribute to heroic martyrs at the cemetery.


Imbued with his teachings and promoting the revolutionary tradition of the homeland, along with efforts to develop the economy and society, Nghe An always cares about and determines that implementing policies and regimes for people with meritorious services is a sentiment, honor and extremely important political task.
In addition to properly, fully and promptly implementing policies and regimes, Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have actively and proactively coordinated closely in organizing and implementing care for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions.



The province has regularly paid attention to building and repairing gratitude houses; giving savings books to people with meritorious services; 100% of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers have received care; invested in upgrading, building, and repairing cemeteries and monuments, and stele houses with martyrs' names; and managed and cared for nearly 24,000 martyrs' graves.
Nghe An has been actively searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs in provinces and cities across the country and martyrs and experts who died in Laos, and bringing them back for burial in cemeteries in the province.


In the sacred moment of gratitude, respect and pride in Uncle Ho, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province vows to forever study and follow his noble ideology, morality and style.
Next, at the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, provincial leaders and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate comrade Le Hong Phong - former member of the Communist International Executive Committee, former General Secretary of the Indochinese Communist Party.





Late General Secretary Le Hong Phong was one of President Ho Chi Minh's outstanding students. He was directly mentored and trained by him to become a talented military man, an outstanding intellectual, and an outstanding leader, making great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people.
At noon on September 6, 1942, comrade Le Hong Phong breathed his last in cell number 5, ward II, Con Dao prison at the age of 40, with the last words: "... Please tell the Party that: Until the last moment, Le Hong Phong still believed wholeheartedly in the glorious victory of the revolution...".
The heroic sacrifice of comrade Le Hong Phong left behind endless sorrow for compatriots and comrades across the country and became a shining example of revolutionary morality for the entire Party and people to learn and follow.

Next, at the mass grave and Memorial House at the Nghe - Tinh Soviet Square, Hung Nguyen District, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic sacrifice of 217 martyrs who fell on September 12, 1930, during the historic demonstration of thousands of farmers that created the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement.


At the Memorial House in Quang Trung Ward (Vinh City), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate and express deep gratitude to comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, an outstanding daughter of Nghe An, former member of the Southern Regional Party Committee, and former Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee.


Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was one of the typical communist soldiers who devoted her whole life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation. Sacrificing her life at the age of 31, she upheld the pure revolutionary ideals, the indomitable spirit and the steadfastness of a communist soldier.


The heroic sacrifice of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai has further enhanced the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women, continued the immortal heroic epic of our entire nation, and become a shining example of revolutionary morality for generations to follow and learn from.


At Vinh City Martyrs Cemetery, the resting place of 975 martyrs, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province respectfully offered flowers and incense to express deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who fell for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
