Continuous house fires, suspected due to carelessness in burning incense and worshiping on Tet holiday
(Baonghean.vn) - On the 2nd and 3rd day of the Lunar New Year, 2 families in Vinh city had their houses burned down. The initial cause of the fires was determined to be carelessness in burning incense during Tet.
At around 10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2020, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, directed Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 1 to dispatch a vehicle with 20 officers and soldiers to quickly go to a house at No. 215, Nguyen Van Cu Street, Hung Binh Ward, Vinh City to rescue and provide relief.

CC&CNCH1 team rescued the 80-year-old woman to safety; at the same time, promptly organized fire fighting.
The scene of the fire was the worship area on the second floor of the house. Fortunately, the fire was discovered early by the people and reported promptly, preventing major damage.

Previously, at around 4:40 a.m. on January 26, 2020, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police also directed Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 1 to dispatch 1 command vehicle, 1 fire truck, 1 water tanker and 20 officers and soldiers to quickly go to the house at Lane 61, Duy Tan Street, Hung Dung Ward, Vinh City.
The fire also started in the worship room on the third floor of the house. The fire was quickly brought under control, preventing the risk of spreading.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities. However, initial findings indicate that the fire was caused by carelessness while burning incense.
