Suspect in murder of female pharmacy owner revealed

Through extracting data from security cameras, the police have identified the perpetrator who murdered the female pharmacy owner in Go Vap District, causing a stir in public opinion in the days leading up to Tet Mau Tuat 2018, as someone who knew the victim.

According to private sources, Go Vap District Police have identified the suspect who murdered Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Phuong (born 1995, owner of Hoang Khanh pharmacy) on Bui Quang La street on February 10 and are pursuing her.

Earlier, at around 5pm on February 10, a resident went to the pharmacy to buy medicine but no one answered his calls. The lights were still on inside, the fan was running and the door to the inner room was locked from the outside. Looking inside, the resident was shocked to find the young female owner of the pharmacy lying on the floor with blood stains, so he reported it to the police.

Upon receiving the information, Go Vap District Police quickly came to break the door lock to check and discovered Ms. Phuong lying dead on the ground near the entrance, her head facing the kitchen, her feet facing the door, a wound on the top of her head and bleeding profusely on the floor. The iPhone 5S on the victim's body was still intact.

Immediately after the particularly serious murder case occurred, Go Vap District Police and professional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police quickly arrived at the scene to examine the crime scene and organize an investigation. Data from security cameras near the crime scene was also extracted by the police to serve the investigation.

Through professional measures, the police have identified the suspect’s identity and background. Accordingly, this subject is an acquaintance of the victim. Currently, the police are urgently searching for the subject to strictly handle according to the provisions of the law./.
