By 5 p.m., the ship's hull had been successfully lifted, but the risk occurred again when the hull and some parts below the ship were cracked, causing water and sand to flow back into the hull. Photo: Quang An |

By 7 p.m., the locals had to build buoys to support the ship's hull, hoping that the tide would rise tonight and the boat would float to the surface to be pulled ashore. Thus, after 2 days, the fishermen's boats were still unable to rescue them. Photo: Quang An |
Previously, at 2am on February 22, the fishing boat of Mr. Vu Van Tien and Mr. Pham Van Tung in Chien Thang hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district sank at Lach Van port. At that time, there were 5 fishermen on board, all of whom were rescued in time by a neighboring ship.
