Nearly 400 officers and soldiers of the Command and coastal unitsNghe An Border Guardorganized to help people overcome the consequences of storm No. 10 on the morning of September 16.

In Nghi Hai ward - Cua Lo town, 100 officers and soldiers of the Cua Lo Ben Thuy port border guard station, Squadron 2 coordinated with local authorities, people, and teachers of Nghi Hai Primary School to clean up the school's rooms and grounds.

The Border Guard also helped the family of Mrs. Truong Thi Thoai, Tan Quang block, Nghi Hai ward, a single-parent family whose husband died early and suffered the most damage. Her house had its roof blown off, 20m of fence collapsed, the Border Guard force came to help the family clean up their belongings and trim down broken tree branches.

In Nghi Hoa ward, 106 houses had their roofs blown off, 40 families suffered heavy damage. The Border Guard coordinated with local authorities and other forces to collect belongings, help families whose roofs were blown off, and help people stabilize their lives./.

One of the places where the officers and soldiers were present was Cong Hoa village, Quynh Long commune - where after the storm, many roads were still flooded with mud and covered with rubbish. This was one of the places that suffered the most damage after storm No. 10.

Mr. Tran Van Tam - Cong Hoa village, Quynh Long commune said: "The storm made landfall and caused a lot of damage to my family. Heavy rain combined with high tides caused the house to be flooded and the surrounding wall system to collapse. This morning, my family got up at 5am to clean and mop the house. Luckily, we received help from the soldiers and everyone."

Cong Hoa village, Quynh Long commune has nearly 100 households along the coast directly affected by the storm, of which about 30 households had their houses flooded, causing a lot of property damage. After the storm, the District Military Command mobilized officers, soldiers and 30 militiamen, along with organizations and unions of the commune to help the people.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Vu Hai - Commander of the Quynh Luu District Military Command said: "Immediately after the storm, we also mobilized a force of 50 officers to help people clean up their houses, dredge mud, sand, gravel, broken structures and trees to help people quickly ensure food, shelter and environmental sanitation"./.
