* In Vinh City, after storm No. 2 passed, many trees in the area fell down, many houses had their roofs blown off, affecting the traffic situation in the area. Understanding the above situation, on the morning of July 17,Provincial Military Commandmobilized hundreds of cadres, soldiers and militia forces to help people clean up and support fallen trees on the streets.

The current key task is to continue to closely monitor the flood situation, regularly update hydrometeorological forecasts, especially monitor unusual storm developments, and at the same time guard against the risk of flash floods and landslides.

*According to a quick report from units under the Provincial Border Guard, up to now, storm Talas has blown off the roofs of a number of command houses, warehouses, fences and wharves at the border posts at Cua Lo-Ben Thuy port, Squadron 2, Dien Thanh Post and Quynh Thuan Border Post.
In the border area alone, the storm sank a fishing boat (90CV) in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, and two fish rafts in Dien Thanh sea. The roofs of some houses and roadside kiosks were blown off, some tents and stalls were damaged, and 1,500 hectares of crops were completely destroyed. In particular, the VTB 26 boat and 13 people were sunk.

To help people overcome the above consequences, the Border Guard force has directed units to continue monitoring the situation, coordinating with local authorities and forces to deploy PCTT-TKCN plans in the border area. Maintaining 100% of the on-duty personnel, coastal units deployed officers to 34 communes and wards to actively coordinate with local authorities and forces to support people in overcoming the consequences of the storm.
In particular, mobilize forces from Squadron 2, Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port and vehicles to urgently search for the remaining crew members on the missing ship VTB 26.

At the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Port, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Huy - Political Commissar of the station said: According to initial statistics, the unit has suffered about 180 million VND in damage so far, all trees, warehouse systems, garages, gardens, and signboard systems have been broken and completely damaged.
To overcome the situation, the unit mobilized officers and soldiers to clean the barracks, repair and temporarily fix some works, deployed forces to 12 communes and wards to coordinate with local authorities to clear fallen trees on Binh Minh road, Cua Lo town, 2/3 of the unit's troops directly participated in the rescue and search for missing crew members on the wrecked ship VTB 26, including 9 officers who directly accompanied 3 fishermen's vehicles to search for the victims.
At Dien Thanh Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Thanh - station chief said: about 40 hectares of casuarina trees in the protective forest about 2 years old in Dien Trung commune were broken and fell, causing great damage to people's crops.
To help people quickly overcome the consequences, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station sent reinforcements to the area, firstly to clear up fallen trees, clear traffic, and at the same time sent 20 comrades to be on duty to search for victims on the ship VTB26 in the waters under the unit's management.
Currently, the Nghe An Border Guard Command is sending forces from coastal border stations to the areas to help people overcome the consequences of the storm.

* In Tan Ky district, many trees along both sides of the road were uprooted and broken, affecting power lines as well as obstructing traffic on most routes. The entire district currently has 850 fallen electric poles causing widespread power outages.
