American Tesla Corporation introduces solar tiles with a warranty for the life of your home.

On Twitter, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Corporation, announced that Tesla's solar roof tiles will be available for pre-order starting May 10, according to Science Alert. Orders can come from almost any country in the world.

Musk said the solar roof tiles are expected to hit the U.S. market by the end of 2017. Deliveries to overseas locations will follow next year.

Tesla’s website also has information on how to order solar roof tiles. It’s worth noting that Tesla claims its products come with a lifetime warranty.

"Glass solar roofs are very durable. They are warranted for the life of your home, or in other words, forever if your home lasts forever," Tesla said.

Other energy solutions applied in conjunction with solar roofs help reduce electricity bills, even allowing users to go off-grid.

According to Tesla, the solar energy collected during the day will be charged into the company's integrated Powerwall battery for use at any time, helping to transform your home into a personal utility.

The revolution that Tesla is leading is very promising. Some studies by the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) show that 25% of the US energy needs can be met by rooftop solar power equipment.
