Heroic Vietnamese Mother donates 2 million VND to prevent and fight Covid-19

Heroic Vietnamese mother Ho Thi Mai is 88 years old this year. She has 4 sons, 2 of whom: Ho Xuan Thao (born 1957) and Ho Xuan Tu (born 1963) are martyrs. She is currently living with her youngest son, Mr. Ho Xuan Nhi.

Heroic Vietnamese mother Ho Thi Mai said: I have only lived to this age to witness such a terrible pandemic. Village and hamlet loudspeakers continuously broadcast news about epidemic prevention and control, and then people joining hands to support were also read on the loudspeaker. From the subsidy according to the regime and policy, I decided to spend 2 million VND to support, although it is not a large amount, but with all my sincerity I want to contribute a small part to this epidemic prevention.

“There are many people who are suffering more than me, they are doctors, nurses, and armed forces who are treating and caring for infected people day and night and working at quarantine checkpoints,” VNAH mother Ho Thi Mai shared.

Living at home with his mother, Mr. Ho Xuan Nhi (youngest son) was surprised when his mother called him to discuss supporting the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic. Mr. Nhi said that last night (April 7), after the whole family finished eating, his mother said she wanted to withdraw 2 million VND from the allowance for relatives of martyrs and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers to support the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic.

“Hearing this news, I was surprised and discussed with my mother that we should keep that money to buy medicine to treat the disease, and that our family had already supported. But my mother said: “Nothing is ever enough, what is important is how we support, at the right time when the Party, the State and the people are in need,” said Mr. Nhi.

This morning (April 8), organizations and unions of Quynh Hau commune were present at the family of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Ho Thi Mai to receive the donation from her and acknowledge her gratitude in accompanying and joining hands with people across the country to repel the Covid-19 epidemic./.
