Causes of stains and mold on car windows

There are many reasons why your car's windshield becomes stained and moldy, of which water is the main culprit in forming stains on your car. When you go out in the rain, wash your car, and let water stagnate for a long time on the windshield, it causes calcium deposits to precipitate and accumulate right on the windshield.
Storing the car in humid conditions, leaving it in the rain or frequently leaving the car in contact with water also causes the glass to gradually become cloudy over time. Next, using car washing chemicals or glass cleaning fluid that is not up to standard is also the culprit causing the above phenomenon.
In addition to the above causes, not washing the car and cleaning the windshield regularly also causes stains to form.
On the car glass, there is a phenomenon of scabbing or waxing (white crystalline scales on the surface), dullness (dull color or a layer of opacity on the surface), chemical etching (opaque film or pitting), film formation (opaque film, cloudy covering), iridescence (rainbow light), dirt contamination (oil adhesion on the surface), haze (opaque, opaque) or burnt color (pink, purple, brown glass).

These stains are quite stubborn, using soap or regular car wash products will be difficult to remove, so the following methods will help remove these stubborn stains more easily and effectively.
For light stains, you can apply lemon juice evenly on the glass, then use a cloth and water to wash as usual.
If using lemon is not effective, you can use cleaning agents available in the house such as Vim toilet bowl cleaner, duck cleaning liquid... or any other type with equivalent cleaning ability, pour it on a towel, then wipe it on the windshield, soak for about 10-15 minutes then use warm water to carefully clean the glass.
Steps to follow
- Clean the glass surface to remove (Dust, grease)
- Spray water evenly onto the stained glass surface area to be cleaned.
- Soak a few drops of chemical on the anti-scratch cloth.
- Test wipe on a small area to check if the glass is suitable for the cleaning chemical.
- Wipe the chemical evenly onto the glass surface and then use a tool to scrub the glass. Wipe each area for 3-5 minutes to allow the glass mold removal solution to penetrate deeply.
- Rinse with clean water several times.
- Use a squeegee or a dry cloth to wipe the area that has just been cleaned to check whether the level of mold on the glass surface has reacted and is not suitable for cleaning on the glass surface. When wiping, if the glass surface becomes more blurred, you should stop cleaning. If you see that the glass is clearer and brighter than before cleaning, continue.
- Rinse the cleaned glass area thoroughly with clean water.
- Use a dry soft cloth or dry paper to wipe off any remaining water and dry the glass surface.
- Dry the glass with a squeegee or cloth.

Note:Do not let these cleaning agents stick to the paint or metal parts of your car, as this will cause your car to fade or corrode. To clean the cleaning agent from the glass, you should use a cloth dipped in water and wipe it several times to dilute the cleaning agent, then rinse the car with water as usual.
To ensure safe cleaning, you should wear a mask, gloves, and glasses when using. Clean in a well-ventilated area or turn on the ventilation fan when cleaning. Avoid contact with chemicals. Use a soft, dry cloth or dry paper that absorbs water and does not scratch the glass surface.
