Hail and tornado in Nghe An border district blow off roofs of dozens of houses
(Baonghean.vn) - In just a few days, in the border district of Ky Son (Nghe An), hail and tornadoes have continuously occurred, causing damage to houses and crops.
On March 23, the authorities of Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district said: On the evening of March 22, heavy rain occurred in the commune with tornadoes and hail.
The local government has not yet been able to estimate the specific damage, however, through understanding the situation, about 20 households had their roofs blown off by the wind, causing damage to their houses. Upon receiving the information, the Keng Du Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) coordinated with the local government and local forces to help single-parent families repair their damaged houses.

Bac Ly commune has 13 poor villages, including 11 Khmu villages, 1 Mong village, 1 Thai village with nearly 5,000 people. Currently, the commune's poverty rate is over 62%.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 19, also in Keng Du commune (Ky Son), there was hail and thunderstorms, damaging many houses. In particular, hail and thunderstorms damaged more than 60 households in Hat Ta Ven village...Thus, in just a few days, hail and tornadoes have continuously occurred in Ky Son district, causing severe damage.
