Previously, at 11:45 a.m. on November 11, the General Investigation Team (DTTH) of the District Police in coordination with Thong Thu Border Guard Station and Thong Thu Commune Police discovered a pickup truck (gray) of the Ford Ranger brand with license plate 37C - 234.23 moving in the commune with many suspicious signs, so they stopped the vehicle for administrative inspection. Here, the police force discovered that the vehicle contained many wild animals, including: 8 mink individuals and 1 deer individual with a total weight of 45 kg. All of the above animals were dead.
Through investigation and quick investigation, the driver of the car confessed to being Pham Dinh Dung (born in 1966), residing in Lam Truong village, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district. He bought the wild animals from a resident in Thong Thu commune for 7.5 million VND to use in a wedding.
Currently, Que Phong District Police are consolidating the case file to strictly handle it according to the law.
It is known that previously, on October 14, in Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, the unit also arrested Lu Thanh Tam (born in 1962), residing in the commune, for raising and confining endangered and rare animals; confiscated 6 big-headed turtles belonging to group 1B.
