Persimmons have been planted in Nam Anh for a long time, but in the past, people did not grow much because of the limited land, and this is a "difficult" plant. However, after the project "Restoring local persimmon varieties" supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Nam Anh persimmons have truly become a brand, bringing in a good income for the people. Out of 9 hamlets of the commune, 4 hamlets consider this a "strategic" crop with a total area of over 40 hectares. On average, each year the whole commune harvests about 500 tons of fruit, generating a revenue of about 6 billion VND.
