Many flooded sections on National Highway 1A through Hoang Mai town. |
The deepest and longest flooded section is at the intersection of Quynh Xuan ward in block 16 and the intersection in front of Hoang Mai Irrigation Enterprise in block 13 with a length of about 100m. Flooding makes it quite difficult for vehicles to pass through here.
Some other locations such as the south of Hoang Mai bridge, Mai Hung ward, blocks 7 and 8 of Quynh Thien ward were also flooded on the road for motor vehicles. The functional forces in Hoang Mai town promptly installed traffic signs to help road users recognize and avoid, limiting unfortunate accidents from happening.

The rain flooded the streets but many shops still "fortified" on the side of the road even though there were no customers. |
This heavy rain also caused many vegetable areas in Quynh Lien and newly planted potatoes in Mai Hung ward to be flooded. The largest reservoir in Nghe An province, Vuc Mau reservoir, located in Quynh Trang commune, Hoang Mai town, on the morning of November 8, also began to discharge a spillway at 9:00 a.m. with a discharge volume of 47 - 50m3/second according to the reservoir's safe operation process.

* Heavy rain also caused flooding on National Highway 48B, the section connecting Cau Giat intersection to Quynh My market (Quynh Luu). The main reason for this situation is that the project to build an overpass at the intersection of National Highway 1A and National Highway 48B connecting Lach Quen port is under construction and has filled up the drainage culverts, causing the water to stagnate and have no place to drain.
