Heavy rain, landslides threaten to collapse houses
(Baonghean.vn) - Prolonged heavy rains caused houses of Hoang Mai residents to collapse. Local forces urgently sent people to rescue and help people protect their property.
At about 6:30 p.m. on October 5, due to prolonged heavy rain, in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town, there was alandslides, causing subsidence, affecting the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Mui's family, born in 1963, in Quyet Tien block.

Despite the heavy rain and darkness, officers and soldiers of the unit and people urgently packed sandbags and transported them to fill the landslide sites to ensure the safety of Mr. Mui's family's house.
Currently, in addition to ensuring the safety of Mr. Mui's family's house, the authorities are also surveying key locations that may affect the safety of surrounding households, in order to have a response plan to minimize damage caused by floods.
