4th day of Tet, 39 people died in traffic accidents
The Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee said that according to the report of the Traffic Police Department on February 11, there were 52 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 39 people (an increase of 2 people compared to February 10), and injuring 48 people.
Most of the accidents and casualties occurred on roads, with one accident resulting in one death on railways.
On February 11, the national traffic police force inspected and handled 1,949 cases of traffic safety violations, collected VND762 million 526 thousand to the State Treasury; temporarily detained 57 cars, 250 motorbikes, and revoked 274 driving licenses.

The National Inland Waterway Traffic Police force inspected and handled 153 cases of traffic safety violations. 12 million 550 thousand VND was paid to the State Treasury.
On February 11, the hotline of the National Traffic Safety Committee received an increase in the number of calls and messages compared to the previous 4 days.
Specifically, there have been 30 calls and 4 text messages from people reporting on the situation of arbitrary ticket price increases, overcrowding and traffic safety and order in some areas such as: Hai Binh bus company on the route from Nuoc Ngam Bus Station (Hanoi) to Con Cuong (Nghe An) often overcrowds passengers; ticket prices at the bus station in Nam Dinh province have increased; passengers traveling 20 km are charged 100,000 VND in Hanoi; Gia Lai-Nha Trang bus line is overcrowded.
In addition, people also reported that in Ninh Binh city, there is a situation where some mini hotels rent motorbikes to tourists and backpackers to drive themselves. This causes disorder in traffic safety and potentially causes accidents because some tourists do not have a driver's license but can still rent motorbikes.

In addition, people reported the unannounced delay of Vietjet Air's flight from Da Nang to Hanoi.
The National Traffic Safety Committee has requested relevant units to thoroughly inspect and handle the content of the reflected information.
The Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee assessed that in the final days of the Lunar New Year holiday, the density of traffic participants continued to flock to temples and pagodas to enjoy spring and pray for good luck, while also starting to return to big cities to work.
The Office of the National Traffic Safety Committee requires traffic police to increase patrols, control and handle violations of traffic order and safety, and have reasonable traffic organization plans at gateways to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to thoroughly limit chaos and traffic congestion.
