Nam Dan focuses on improving criteria

According to the report of Nam Dan District People's Committee, after 1 year of implementing the pilot project "Building Nam Dan district to become a model new rural district in the direction of cultural development associated with tourism, period 2018 - 2025", Nam Dan district focuses on improving the quality of new rural criteria in localities and new rural district criteria.

Up to now, in Nam Dan area, 9/23 communes have met the advanced traffic criteria, 13/23 communes have met the advanced irrigation criteria, 22/23 communes have met the advanced electricity criteria, 17/23 communes have met the advanced school criteria, 20/23 communes have met the advanced cultural facilities criteria, 21/23 communes have met the advanced medical facilities criteria, 23/23 communes have met the advanced residential housing criteria, 18/23 communes have met the advanced rural commercial infrastructure criteria...

For the 9 groups of criteria for building a model new rural district, investment is continuing to be made at the right level according to the State's investment plan, especially the transportation system is being invested in and built on main roads.

That is the issue that the Chairman of Nam Dan District People's Committee raised at the meeting.

The most difficult thing now is the cultural infrastructure after merging blocks and hamlets because most of the new blocks and hamlets have to invest in rebuilding cultural houses to suit the population size and area. The newly merged communes also need resources to invest in infrastructure and re-planning. Some projects planned to be implemented in the period of 2018 - 2020 related to ministries and branches still do not have capital to invest in construction such as: Project to build a centralized clean water plant in Khanh Son commune, the district cultural center, and restore and embellish historical and cultural relics.

Regarding the construction of a model new rural area on "Culture associated with tourism", in recent times, Nam Dan district has focused on implementing the following contents: Renovating and perfecting the system of cultural and sports infrastructure at the district level, the system of rural cultural institutions at the commune and hamlet levels; Preserving, embellishing and promoting cultural heritage values ​​to serve the spiritual life of the people and associated with tourism development.

The district builds cultural, artistic, sports and cultural lifestyle movements; builds model new rural areas in key communes; cultural tourism models, and restructures the agricultural sector associated with value chain development.

Building the image of cultural development and tourism in Nam Dan district;Education to improve people's knowledge, educate the system of values, ethical standards of lifestyle, ideological education, revolutionary historical and cultural traditions; train human resources; Improve the quality of health care for people, effectively implement national target programs on health.

The working delegation of the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination highly appreciated the efforts of Nam Dan district in recent times.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Tien - Director, Chief of the Central Office for New Rural Development Coordination requested the district to review and complete project works and activities to celebrate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; Review key works that must be completed in 2020 to urgently deploy and speed up progress.

For communes registered to achieve model NTM and advanced NTM in 2020, the district needs to inspect and evaluate to soon submit to the province for appraisal. Regarding medium-term investment capital for the period 2021 - 2025, the province needs to have a comprehensive list and make recommendations to the Central Government and relevant ministries and branches to soon include in the plan.
