(Baonghean.vn) - This is the goal of the "2023 North Central Region Road Traffic Law and Safe Driving Skills Competition".

Participating in the competition, there are 5 teams from universities, including Vinh University (2 teams); Ha Tinh University; Hong Duc University and Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Each team consists of 6 students.
Over the past years, it can be affirmed that Vietnam has controlled the number of traffic accidents, the criteria of number of accidents, number of deaths and number of injuries have decreased year by year. However, ensuring traffic safety still faces many difficulties.
According to statistics from the National Traffic Safety Committee, traffic accidents involving motorbikes and motorbikes account for about 70% of all accidents each year. In the first 9 months of the year, there were 8,335 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 4,765 people and injuring 5,802. In particular, the number of teenagers, students and pupils violating the law has increased, with 329 pupils and pupils dying in traffic accidents in the first 9 months of the year alone. Therefore, propaganda and education to raise awareness among people, especially pupils and pupils, is extremely important.

For the practical test on safe motorcycle driving, candidates are tested on their skills while driving vehicles through simulated roads.
In the traffic safety skit contest, each team presented a skit with the topic of traffic safety, which were real situations related to the implementation of Traffic Laws among students today.
The final round will be where candidates demonstrate their understanding ofRoad Traffic LawAmendments, regulations on administrative sanctions, traffic situations, meaning of signs, regulations on compulsory civil liability insurance for motor vehicle owners...
