Tourism industry surveys and evaluates community tourism model in Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 8, Nghe An Department of Tourism organized a survey team to assess the conditions for developing community tourism models in Que Phong district. Participating in the survey team were travel and tourism businesses in the province.

Que Phong is a mountainous border district, 173 km northwest of Vinh city, Nghe An province. The district has 14 communes and towns; there are 6 ethnic groups living together: Kinh, Thai, Mong, Kho Mu, Tho, Tay. Each ethnic group has its own identity.
Que Phong is endowed by nature with many beautiful landscapes and landscapes, such as: Xao Va waterfall, Seven-storey waterfall complex, the lakes of Hua Na, Chau Thang and Nhan Hac hydroelectric projects...

Que Phong is a land with a long cultural history with the spiritual historical relic of the Nine-room Temple, many villages still preserve traditional cultural values. All of the above factors have made Que Phong very favorable for building and developing community cultural tourism.
In recent times, the district has made many efforts to develop community ecotourism in the area in conjunction with preserving and promoting national cultural values. Specifically: Promoting propaganda and promoting the image and tourism potential of the locality; investing in infrastructure for tourism development; developing typical tourism products.

Currently, Que Phong is focusing on building an ancient Thai Village model associated with developing community tourism in two villages, Na Xai and Hua Muong (Hanh Dich commune); along with that is the direction of developing medicinal products to serve tourists.
On the morning of August 8, the survey team of the Department of Tourism conducted a field survey at Xao Va waterfall, Bay Tang waterfall, Na Xai village, Hua Muong and Chin Gian temple. In the afternoon of the same day, the survey team had a working session with the People's Committee of Que Phong district.

At the meeting, representatives of tourism and travel businesses gave valuable opinions to Que Phong district, accordingly: Destinations in Que Phong district are in the form of "rough gems", to put them into professional exploitation, there needs to be a clear planning and strategy for the target audience; it is necessary to complete the infrastructure including roads, electricity grid, telephone signal, and essential sanitation facilities.

In investing and constructing tourist works and landscapes, it is necessary to ensure harmony, green - clean - beautiful, associated with natural elements and materials. In service style, it is necessary to build a new communication culture with the use of foreign languages; pay attention to food hygiene and safety, rescue work.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Director of Nghe An Department of Tourism, stated: Que Phong needs to do a good job in planning and building sustainable destinations with a long-term vision. Destinations must be central and key, not spread out. The ideal location is the cluster of destinations: Seven-storey Waterfall - 2 villages of Na Xai and Hua Muong (Hanh Dich commune).
