Nghe An Health Sector gives Tet gifts to poor households in Thach Ngan commune (Con Cuong)
On January 7, Nghe An Department of Health organized a working delegation to visit and give gifts to poor households and children in especially difficult circumstances in Thach Ngan commune, Con Cuong district on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
The delegation was led by Ms. Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Department of Health. The delegation included leaders of the Department of Health, the Health Trade Union, heads of departments and offices of the Department; leaders of provincial hospitals; and leaders of the People's Committee of Con Cuong district.
Pursuant to Decision No. 2209/QD-UBND dated July 29, 2022 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on assigning agencies and units to receive assistance for extremely disadvantaged communes in Nghe An province, from 2022, the Nghe An Department of Health has received assistance for the poor commune of Thach Ngan, Con Cuong district.
Accordingly,Nghe An Department of HealthThere have been many practical activities to help and support such as giving gifts to households in difficult circumstances; medical examination and treatment, and health care for people in Thach Ngan commune.
In order to ensure the policy work for people with meritorious services and social security during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Department of Health organized a working delegation to visit and give gifts to poor households and children in especially difficult circumstances in Thach Ngan commune.
During this visit and gift-giving trip, the leaders of Nghe An Department of Health supported the construction of 2 new Great Solidarity houses for the poor with housing difficulties (each house worth 50 million VND); presented gifts to 10 orphans and families with especially difficult circumstances (each child worth 500 thousand VND); presented savings to 5 extremely poor households (each savings worth 5 million VND); presented Tet gifts (cash and gifts in kind) to 125 poor households, each worth 1 million VND.
Comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of Nghe An Department of Health shared the difficulties in life with the people of Thach Ngan commune. Sending wishes for a healthy, peaceful and happy new year, the Director of the Department of Health expressed the hope that the people will continue to try, actively work and produce, and soon escape poverty.
Comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung called on health sector officials and workers to continue supporting and helping poor households and people in difficult circumstances with the spirit of helping each other and not leaving anyone behind.
On the same day, the working delegation of the Department of Health also visited and presented Tet gifts to the Southwest Regional General Hospital and Con Cuong District Medical Center; visited and presented Tet gifts to cadres and workers in especially difficult circumstances at the two units on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025.
