(Baonghean.vn) - Today, there were 82 more domestic infections, 18 people recovered, bringing the total number of infections to 3,623, the number of recoveries to 2,636.
On the afternoon of May 12, the Ministry of Health recorded 30 cases positive for nCoV, all of which were domestic cases detected in quarantined areas.
30 new cases were recorded from number 3594-3623, specifically Da Nang 20, Hanoi 7, Bac Giang 2, Phu Tho 1.
Thus, today there were 82 more domestic infections, 18 people recovered, bringing the total number of infections to 3,623, the number of recoveries to 2,636. The number of samples tested from April 27 to now is 306,138.
The total number of community infections from April 27 to now is 611, recorded in 26 provinces and cities. Specifically, Hanoi has 162 cases (including 86 cases at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, 13 cases at the K Hospital), Bac Ninh 124, Bac Giang 81, Vinh Phuc 73, Da Nang 80, Hung Yen 20, Ha Nam 17, Thai Binh 9, Hai Duong 7, Lang Son 6, Hoa Binh 5, Thua Thien Hue 4, Quang Nam 3, Quang Tri 3, Nam Dinh 3, Dak Lak 2, Phu Tho 2, Dien Bien 2, Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Yen Bai each have one case.

On May 12, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long sent a letter of encouragement to doctors and nurses in the context of many hospitals being quarantined, medical staff facing risks, even danger. Minister Long emphasized that in the fight against Covid-19, the role of the medical team is very heavy and bears many risks.
"In this silent war, we may have to endure disadvantages and risks, but we should not falter," Mr. Long wrote. He assessed that Covid-19 is evolving complicatedly in the country, with many outbreaks appearing with many virus variants that are more contagious and stronger. Therefore, the work of fighting the epidemic "must not be delayed, cannot be allowed to rest."
With the motto of shifting the state of epidemic prevention and control from defense to proactive attack, the Minister called on medical staff to continue to join forces. "I commend the contributions of the white-shirt soldiers across the country, who have worked day and night with all their heart and soul, regardless of hardship, difficulty, and danger," the Minister wrote.
Since the first case of Covid-19 due to community transmission was recorded on April 27, the epidemic has spread to 26 provinces and cities, recording 581 patients, and at least 10 hospitals have been quarantined due to in-hospital infections.
