'Saturday for the People' helps hundreds of families in Vinh city extend land use rights

On January 16, the Vinh City Land Registration Office Branch organized a "Saturday for the people", piloting the extension of agricultural land use rights for people in Nghi An commune right at the commune People's Committee headquarters.

With the characteristics of a commune in Nghi Loc district merged into Vinh city, land records and procedures are still very difficult. Currently, the whole commune has 1,400 records related to agricultural land that have not been resolved. The fact that the Vinh City Land Registration Office and Nghi An commune piloted the organization of resolving issues related to Land Use Right Certificates for people right at the Commune People's Committee on Saturdays has created many favorable conditions for the people.

In just one morning, 300 files of people from Kim Phuc, Kim Lien, Kim Trung hamlets (Nghi An commune) were processed. In addition, more than 40 people received free legal advice on land procedures.

Mr. Tran Nam Son - Deputy Director of the Vinh City Land Registration Office Branch said that from the success of the pilot program "Saturday for the people", in the coming time, the Office will organize more of this activity in the newly merged communes of Vinh city, helping people complete land procedures.
