Nghe An: 31,202 candidates participate in the 10th grade entrance exam

(Baonghean.vn) - Before the 10th grade entrance exam, all preparations have been basically completed. This year, Nghe An has 31,202 candidates in 56 examination councils with 1,308 examination rooms. To prepare for the exam seriously, the Education sector has mobilized 3,010 examiners to supervise the exam and more than 1,000 people to participate in service and security work.

On the afternoon of June 6, hundreds of parents and students from many remote villages came to Quy Hop 3 High School to learn information about the 10th grade entrance exam.

Vi Thuy Minh (Quang village, Nam Son commune, Quy Hop) attentively read the exam regulations, paying attention to the items allowed and not allowed to be brought into the exam room. Minh said: “Currently, I have reviewed quite thoroughly all three subjects of Math, Literature, and English. This is the first time I have taken an exam not held in my school and I also have to compete with other students to pass the high school entrance exam, so I am very nervous and worried. When entering the exam, the teachers also told me to calmly do my best in the exam room, following the exam regulations.”

At Quy Hop 2 High School, where 584 candidates registered for the exam, the preparation work was also assessed as complete and thoughtful. Here, all the exam rooms were posted. The security department, in addition to the district and local police forces, also mobilized militia and self-defense forces from neighboring communes to ensure the safety of the exam. In particular, determining that on exam days the temperature may increase, to prevent power outages or sudden electrical problems, the school mobilized additional generators to serve the candidates.

At the examination sites, safety is of utmost importance. The examination storage area is sealed and protected 24/7.

The medical department is ready to prepare enough medicine in case of bad situations.

Talking about the preparation for the 10th grade entrance exam in Quy Hop district, Mr. Ho Binh Minh, Head of the Quy Hop District Education Department, Deputy Head of the exam steering committee added: Quy Hop is a mountainous district with many difficulties, but the district still determines to give priority to the 10th grade entrance exam and mobilizes many departments and branches to participate such as the police, electricity, youth union... In addition, schools are required to create the best conditions for candidates and parents to feel secure during the exam, students living far away are given the opportunity to go to boarding houses...

During the inspection, many limitations and shortcomings were promptly reminded, such as the issue of safe distance between the exam location and residential areas, exam rooms, invigilators, and table and chair arrangements. In addition, attention was also paid to schools to pay attention to clean water, healthcare, electricity, traffic safety, etc. to help candidates feel secure during the exam. In addition, to prevent floods, inundation, power outages, fires, etc., the Department has specifically requested that exam sites have plans to ensure the safety of the exam site during the exam days.

Tomorrow, more than 31,000 candidates in Nghe An province will take the 10th grade entrance exam. The expected target for public schools is 69.48%.

Regarding this year's 10th grade entrance exam, Mr. Thai Huy Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: The 10th grade entrance exam is a very important exam. This is also the exam that determines the quality of input for high schools, so schools have strictly followed the exam regulations. The Department of Education and Training also created conditions for schools to be flexible and creative in organizing the exam to suit the actual conditions of each school and each locality. The main purpose is to bring a normal, safe, easy exam and achieve the highest results.

The entrance exam for grade 10 will be held on June 7 and 8 with three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Language. In the morning of June 7, candidates will take the Literature exam with a time limit of 120 minutes. In the afternoon, candidates will take the Foreign Language exam with a time limit of 60 minutes.
