Nghe An: Nearly 5,000 new cars registered in the first 6 months of 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the report of the Traffic Safety Committee of Nghe An province, in the first 6 months of 2018, the whole Nghe An province registered 4,682 new cars, 54,850 motorbikes, 3,840 electric motorbikes, bringing the total number of vehicles currently managed to 95,771 cars, 1,425,487 motorbikes, 49,279 electric motorbikes.

Also in the first 6 months of the year, Nghe An has issued and exchanged 38,206 driving licenses of all types, including 24,581 A1 driving licenses (allowing to drive 2-wheeled motorbikes with cylinder capacity from 50cc to under 175cc) and 13,625 car driving licenses.
The rapid increase in the number of vehicles while the traffic infrastructure still has many shortcomings such as: some roads have degraded, lack of traffic signs, many intersections have obstructed visibility... leads to an increasing risk of traffic accidents; violations of traffic safety laws occur frequently.
In the first 6 months of the year, the authorities recorded 55,907 administrative violations of traffic safety and order, including 20,719 cars, 34,784 motorbikes, and 374 electric motorbikes, contributing nearly 38 billion VND to the state budget.
