Nghe An: Nearly 2,000 billion VND invested in Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks in 8 months
(Baonghean.vn) - According to the report of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, in 2020 as of July 17, Nghe An has granted 12 new investment projects to the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks in the area.
In the first 8 months of 2020, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board advised on investment policy decisions and granted investment registration certificates to 12 projects, with total newly granted capital reaching VND 1,929.1 billion.
Of which, there are 4 FDI projects with total registered capital of 48.7 million USD, 7 domestic investment projects with total registered capital of 804 billion VND. Adjusted investment capital for 8 projects, total registered capital increased by 5,985.9 billion VND.
Currently, the Board is advising on licensing procedures and adjusting investment in large-scale projects such as: Adjusting the ECOVI Waste Treatment and Recycling Area Project (1,691 billion VND), Adjusting the Hotel, Restaurant, Eco-tourism Area Project in Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District (36 million USD), Administrative Center and Wood Products Trading Floor Project (349 billion VND), CPT Mechanical Products Manufacturing Complex Project (306 billion VND)...; at the same time, supporting investment procedures for projects such as: Quynh Lap II Thermal Power Plant Project (2.5 billion USD), Hoang Mai Eco-tourism Resort Project (1,699 billion VND), Nghi Yen Waste-to-Energy Treatment Plant Project (1,361 billion VND)...
Up to now, Dong Nam Economic Zone has attracted 239 valid projects, with a total investment capital of VND 58,005 billion. Of which, there are 43 FDI projects, with a total investment capital of VND 15,820 billion (equivalent to USD 680.45 million). Currently, Dong Nam Economic Zone and Nghe An Industrial Parks have 128 projects in operation.
Details of 12 newly licensed projects in the first 8 months of 2020 include:
1. Thanh Do Animal Feed Factory.
Investor: Thanh Do Animal Feed Production Company Limited
Capacity: 96,000 tons of products/year.
Domestic investment capital: 67,084,485,714 VND.
Location: Tho Loc Industrial Park.
2. Woosin Vina Company Limited Project (Singapore).
Investor: SPT Woosin PTE.LtD
Capacity: Production of auto spare parts (wire harness for cars) 1.3 million products/year.
Domestic investment capital: 8,000,000 USD.
Location: Industrial ParkVSIP Nghe An.

3. Project of factory producing protective gloves and building workshop for rent.
Investor: STP Nghe An Joint Stock Company.
Capacity: Production of labor protection gloves: 19.4 million products/year.
Domestic investment capital: 37,014,000,000 VND.

4. Quynh Loc Inland Water Port Project and Fisheries Logistics Services.
Investor: Hung Dung Construction and Trading Investment Joint Stock Company and Thanh Cong Trading Company Limited.
Capacity: Construction of inland waterway ports and fishing logistics services.
