Nghe An issues digital transformation plan by 2025

Pursuant to Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU dated August 5, 2022 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on digital transformation of Nghe An province by 2025, with a vision to 2030 (Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU), the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Plan No. 586-/KH-UBND on digital transformation of Nghe An province by 2025.

The purpose of the Plan is to specify tasks in the 2022-2025 period, successfully implement the targets and tasks of Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU; create a foundation for the 2026-2030 period. Raise awareness of sectors and levels, create a breakthrough in digital transformation, develop digital government, promote administrative reform, create momentum to promote sustainable socio-economic development in the province.

The plan requires leaders and all officials and civil servants of agencies, units, and authorities at all levels to identify digital transformation, development of digital government, smart cities, and digital economy towards digital society as important and regular tasks and a factor to ensure successful implementation of breakthroughs in administrative reform and the province's socio-economic development strategy.

Focus on and prioritize digital transformation tasks with focus and key points in each field, in the planning, plans, and development projects of the industry and locality. Prioritize digital transformation in developing digital government, especially providing services for people and businesses such as: Education, health, investment, transportation, agriculture, industry, resources and environment and prioritize digital transformation in economic development, towards a digital economy.

Accelerate digitalization in departments, branches and localities to build a shared database of the province, serving administrative reform, economic and social development.

Implementation contents include: Developing digital government; Developing digital infrastructure; Developing digital transformation human resources; Gradually developing digital economy, building smart cities, towards digital society; Ensuring information security.

The Plan also assigns specific responsibilities to the Nghe An Provincial Digital Transformation Steering Committee and relevant departments and branches to coordinate in implementing the Plan to ensure efficiency, practicality, and savings, in accordance with the Resolution of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on digital transformation; guide, urge, inspect, and supervise the implementation of projects and tasks according to the Plan...
