Nghe An: Caught a "giant" sea bass in Hua Na hydroelectric reservoir
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 14, Mr. Tran Dinh Thang, a restaurant owner in Que Phong, said he bought a sea bass nearly 1 meter long and weighing 12 kg from people fishing in the Hua Na hydroelectric reservoir.

According to Mr. Thang, this fish was caught by people using cuttings to release it from the lake bed. This fish escaped from the fish cages on the lake when it was still small, so it grew faster than the fish raised in the same cage. And according to Mr. Thang, this is the biggest bass ever caught in Que Phong.
Common characteristics of sea bass species that live in both fresh and brackish water. Sea bass have long bodies, wide mouths, pointed heads, concave dorsal view (concave dorsal shape) and convex in front of the dorsal fin. Wide comb-shaped scales. Large sea bass can weigh up to 50 kg or 70 kg, for example, there is a sea bass weighing up to 112 kg, more than 1.8 m long in Uganda. In Vietnam, it is recorded that sea bass over 10 kg have rarely been caught.
