On the afternoon of October 16, Vinh City Police held a conference to sign an agreement on implementing laws on traffic safety and order, and traffic culture with taxi companies. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Ha - Deputy Head of the City Police presided.

Currently, there are over 1,300 taxis operating in Vinh city from 12 companies. In recent times, taxi operations have had many violations of traffic safety and order, with the main violations being speeding; illegal overtaking; driving in the wrong lane; stopping, parking, picking up and dropping off passengers in the wrong place, violating traffic signals, not giving way, fighting for passengers causing disorder, transporting criminals, not obeying police orders; driving on drugs...

At the conference, taxi companies gave opinions and proposed solutions to strictly implement the Law on Road and Railway Traffic and build a traffic culture for drivers.

Mai Linh Taxi representative requested service providers not to use drivers who were fired for violations.

Notably, to reduce traffic accidents and build a good image of taxis in the eyes of locals and tourists when visiting Nghe An, traffic police need to severely punish drivers for violations; notify businesses of drivers' violations to remind and correct them promptly; businesses should not hire drivers who frequently violate the law or have shown signs of breaking the law and have been fired by other companies...
