Nghe An quarantines, takes samples for testing of female student returning from Da Nang with fever and dry cough
(Baonghean.vn) - Health authorities are urgently spraying disinfectants, taking samples for testing, and conducting an epidemiological investigation of a case returning from Da Nang with symptoms of Covid-19.
On the afternoon of July 30, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control of Nghe An province said that he was present in Truong Thi ward (Vinh city) to direct the spraying of disinfectants and carry out some related medical measures. This is the residence of a 20-year-old female student studying at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Da Nang.

According to the female student's initial account, she is in the F3 category, having had close contact with a nCoV patient in Da Nang. On July 27, she returned to Vinh City from Da Nang. Two days later, the female student began to have symptoms of fever and dry cough. This morning, she had a high fever.
Upon receiving the information, the medical agency immediately took the patient to quarantine and treatment at Vinh City Medical Center. Currently, Nghe An CDC is taking samples for testing of this patient.
"We are still continuing to investigate the epidemic. It is not clear whether this female student interned at any locked-down hospitals while studying in Da Nang," Mr. Dinh added.
Nghe An currently has more than 7,000 people returning from Da Nang and Quang Ngai in the past half month. These people are advised to quarantine at home for 14 days and proactively declare their health status.
