Nghe An prepares to establish regional planning for 8 districts
(Baonghean.vn) - After approving the regional construction planning of Nam Dan and Yen Thanh, the People's Committee of Nghe An province continued to direct the establishment of regional planning for 8 districts including: Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Nghia Dan, Do Luong, and Tan Ky.
Planning is very important, it is the basis for implementing socio-economic tasks in the area. Regarding rural planning, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a document agreeing to the regional planning policy for 8 districts including Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Quynh Luu, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Nghia Dan, Do Luong, Tan Ky.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang - Director of the Department of Construction said that these are the districts that have the ability to reach the new rural destination earlier than other districts and one of the criteria is to complete the planning. The implementation of regional planning for these 8 districts is parallel to the planning of Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2050. Regional planning also creates conditions for the implementation of planning for towns and townships.
Previously, the district construction planning work approved 2/17 district areas (Nam Dan, Yen Thanh).
Accordingly, by 2035, Nam Dan district is expected to have 3 urban areas, including 1 central urban area (upgrading Nam Dan town from type V to type IV urban area) and 2 type V urban areas (Nam Giang urban area and Phuc Cuong urban area). The urbanization rate is 25.75%.
Also according to the approved planning, Yen Thanh will have 6 urban areas, including 1 central urban area - type IV, 5 satellite urban areas - type V. "Rice hometown" develops in the direction of sustainable urban - rural areas.
The province is currently directing localities to establish regional planning for the above 8 districts.

Regarding urban planning: The coverage rate of the general planning for existing urban areas and main urban areas (45 urban areas) reached 100%. The coverage rate of the general planning for other urban areas reached 88.9% (the remaining urban areas are towns in mountainous areas); the coverage rate of the zoning plan reached 72% (Vinh city has basically completed; Cua Lo town, Thai Hoa town, Hoang Mai town are implementing the planning of zoning plans).
Up to now, the whole province has 24 urban areas, including 1 type I urban area.Vinh city, 1 type III urban area is Cua Lo town, 2 type IV urban areas are Hoang Mai and Thai Hoa. 20 type V urban areas. The Department of Construction has advised the Provincial People's Committee to allow the establishment of a project to classify Do Luong urban area to type IV and establish a program for Do Luong urban development. Basically, important urban areas (from type V urban areas and above) have been planned very early, serving as a basis for establishing an urban development program.

Many urban and residential projects in Vinh city and some localities have built synchronous technical and social infrastructure, creating a modern urban appearance and at the same time creating a fairly large housing fund for residents of Vinh city and urban areas in the province.
The completion of specific planning for each urban area and some districts of the province in recent times has contributed to attracting investment in urban development, functional areas and managing construction investment in accordance with legal regulations.
It is known that according to the plan of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, the establishment ofNghe An Province PlanningThe 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, will be completed and announced in April 2022, in which regional planning is also very important, creating the basis for provincial planning.
