Nghe An has 5 people running for National Assembly Deputies
(Baonghean.vn) - Among the candidates for National Assembly deputies in Nghe An, there are 2 candidates introduced by the Central Committee and 5 self-nominated candidates.Regarding the combined structure, the proportion of women is 36.6%; the proportion of ethnic minorities is 30%; young people account for 40%; non-party members account for 10%; and re-election is 10%.
On the morning of March 17, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held the second consultation conference to agree and establish a preliminary list of candidates for the 14th National Assembly and the 17th Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.
Attending the conference were comrades Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Election Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Quoc Khanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee; along with members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, cities and towns.
Based on the number and structure of elected deputies to the 14th National Assembly and the 17th Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term; opinions of organizations at all levels on management and introduction of candidates; opinions of a number of candidates, at the second consultation conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee proposed a preliminary list of candidates for the 14th National Assembly, which is 30 out of a total of 36 valid candidate profiles received.
Of these, 2 candidates were introduced by the Central Committee and 5 candidates ran for office themselves. Regarding the composition, the proportion of women is 36.6%; the proportion of ethnic minorities is 30%; young people account for 40%; non-party members account for 10%; and re-election is 10%.

Regarding the preliminary list of candidates for the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front plans to include 210 people (including 1 self-nominated candidate) out of a total of 251 valid candidate profiles that have been received.
Of which, women account for 44.7%; ethnic minorities account for 16.1%; young people account for 29%; non-party members account for 5.7%; and re-elected members account for 0.9%.

At the conference, in the spirit of frankness, democracy and openness, delegates discussed and analyzed objectively and comprehensively the list given by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front.
At the same time, basically agree with the initial plan proposed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front to agree on the preliminary list of candidates for the 14th National Assembly and candidates for the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021.

Immediately after this second consultation conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front will organize guidance for the Standing Committees of the Fatherland Front of districts, cities and towns to organize the collection of opinions from voters at the places of residence of candidates in accordance with regulations.
The consultation of voters at the place of residence for candidates whose names are on the preliminary list after the second consultation conference is agreed upon by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level in coordination with the People's Committee at the same level, convened and chaired from March 20 to April 12.
