Nghe An: Live military drill to fight enemy infiltration by sea

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 11, Nghe An province conducted a 2-level provincial defense area exercise on the map and in the field, the actual troops fought against the enemy invading by sea.

The hypothetical situation was that the enemy's naval and infantry forces had infiltrated the coastal area of ​​Nghe An. As soon as the enemy was discovered, the local army forces coordinated with the main force of Military Region 4 to come up with a plan to fight the enemy.

Grasping the enemy's situation, our forces coordinated their forces to defeat the infiltration. The main force with strong firepower including tanks, 100mm mortars, 12.7mm submachine guns, SPG 9 made in Vietnam; infantry equipped with weapons such as B40, B41, 85mm mortars, AK submachine guns... formed a battle formation to fight the enemy from afar and when they set foot on the shore.

With the ability to maneuver and coordinate the combat operations in a unified way between local troops and the main force, the battle achieved the element of surprise, speed, precision, and destroyed the enemy's firepower, thus smashing the enemy's plot to invade from the coast. The actual combat part took place safely and in accordance with the requirements of the Steering Committee.

Speaking at the training ground to draw lessons and congratulate the units, Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong assessed that the units had coordinated their operations with excellent results. At the same time, he noted that in the context of the world situation having rapid and unpredictable developments; at the same time, hostile forces at home and abroad are constantly organizing sabotage activities to overthrow the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam... therefore, together with the Party, the State and the people, the armed forces with core functions and tasks need to constantly train and hone their tactics to be ready to smash any plots and actions of the enemy if they violate the sacred territory of the Fatherland.

On the same day, the defense area drill force organized live-fire combat against enemy encirclement; air infiltration and border infiltration. As a result, all battles were extremely successful and safe./.
