Nghe An: Innovation in Party building work in politics and ideology

Party BuildingPolitically and ideologically, it is the ideological foundation, goal, and soul of all work of our Party and State. Along with Party building in terms of organization and ethics, our Party always attaches importance to Party building in terms of politics and ideology. During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention to Party building, including Party building in terms of politics and ideology. Recognizing the importance of Party building in terms of politics and ideology, in recent times, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has focused on leading and directing innovation in Party building, in which Party building in terms of politics and ideology is considered a key task.

The document of the 13th National Congress of the Party affirmed: “Paying great attention to building the Party in terms of ideology. Being steadfast and firm on the foundation of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, while constantly supplementing and creatively developing them in accordance with Vietnam's reality; being steadfast in the goal of national independence and socialism; being steadfast in the path of innovation, strictly implementing the principles of organization and operation of the Party. The document of the 19th Congress of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: “Continue to innovate the form of studying, thoroughly grasping and organizing the implementation of the resolution in a practical and effective direction".

In that spirit, the Propaganda Department of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has proactively innovated the content and form of disseminating resolutions and directives. Party secretaries are the ones who directly disseminate resolutions; develop action programs to implement resolutions that are close and specific to each locality and unit, not general, so the resolutions are gradually coming into life; strengthen supervision, inspection, preliminary and final reviews of the implementation of resolutions and directives are focused on. In 2021, the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee inspected the implementation of resolutions and directives of the Standing Committees of Quy Hop and Thanh Chuong District Party Committees. Through the inspection, the implementation of resolutions and directives was innovated in both content and form to suit the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the study and research of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought for cadres and party members has been focused on by the Party Committee, with many innovations and updating of new knowledge for leaders and managers being regularly implemented. Mr. Ngo Dinh Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Director of the Anh Son District Party Committee Political Center said: In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021, the Political Center still opened 72 political training classes and updated knowledge, including 7 classes on political theory for new party members, party members, and elementary political theory.

Political and ideological orientation work is of interest to all levels and sectors. When there is a lot of unverified information on social networks, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department has proactively directed timely information on hot events occurring in the province so that cadres, party members and people can clearly understand and confidently trust the leadership of the provincial leaders, and fight against false and hostile arguments.

The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against wrong and hostile views has been effectively implemented, and many individuals have been punished for speaking ill of the Party and the regime. Steering Committee 35 has focused on directing the fight against distorted arguments about the Party and State's policies and guidelines through the Internet, social networks, Facebook, Zalo, and newspapers, promptly preventing bad and toxic information that creates people's trust in the Party. The work of grasping and orienting public opinion has been closely and regularly directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, so it has promptly oriented information and resolved sensitive and urgent issues for the people, so it has been trusted and highly appreciated by the people.

Ideological work is always associated with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo, Resolution 4 of the Central Committee, and the implementation of regulations on setting an example for cadres and party members, especially leaders, thus contributing to building a contingent of cadres with a firm political stance, pure morality, and a simple lifestyle following the morality and style of Uncle Ho. This has created a great driving force to promote socio-economic development, bringing Nghe An to develop quickly and sustainably.

Political and ideological work is one of the important tasks of Party building, therefore each cadre and party member must be a soldier on the Party's ideological front. Caring for and protecting the Party is a regular task of each cadre and party member to contribute to building a clean and strong Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
