To carry out the Party building work in 2024, the Standing Committee of the Vinh University Party Committee has proactively made plans, closely following key tasks and operating regulations; promoted the sense of responsibility, proactive creativity, constantly improved working methods and manners, and enhanced efficiency in teaching and scientific research.

In 2024, the School enrolled 12,259/11,889 people (reaching 103.1% of the target), including 10,625/9,739 university students (pedagogical majors have a standard score increase of 2-5 points); 567/1,074 graduate students; 12/52 doctoral students; 390/385 specialized high school students... In addition, in 2024, the School opened 8 undergraduate training majors; 1 master's training major, 2 doctoral training majors.

The School's scientific and technological activities have achieved outstanding results, contributing to improving the quality of the School's training activities, transferring technology, meeting the socio-economic development requirements of Nghe An province, the North Central region and the whole country.

The Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vinh University always pay attention to political and ideological work, strengthen education and training in Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought for party members, officials, workers and students; promote patriotic traditions, build solidarity, promote democracy, cooperation and mutual assistance.

Party development work is focused on. In 2024, the entire Party Committee admitted 256 Party members, including 17 cadres, 226 students, and 13 pupils; officially transferred 309 probationary Party members; opened 2 Party awareness training classes for 1,031 people; completed procedures to receive Party activities for 337 Party members, and transferred Party activities for 185 Party members...

At the Conference, representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department presented 30-year Party membership badges to 3 comrades; the School Party Executive Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 Party organizations and 35 individuals who met the criteria for excellently completing typical tasks in 2024.

Preparing to implement university autonomy

At the Conference, comrade Nguyen Huy Bang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the School reported on the School's situation in 2024 as well as the operational orientations in 2025.

Thereby, emphasizing the importance of transforming Vinh University into Vinh University as a turning point in the organizational structure towards "refined, compact, strong, effective, efficient, effective" to build and deploy major projects to realize the set goals. The conference also listened to the summary of the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; jointly evaluated the results of the implementation of Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW and oriented the arrangement of the School's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective and efficient.

Thereby, based on the relevant directive documents, the School Party Executive Committee has oriented the reorganization of the apparatus, rearranged the departments such as: Board of the School Party Committee, department party committees, party cells directly under the School Party Committee; Organizations of the School Trade Union, School Youth Union, School Student Association, School Veterans Association; Units under and directly under the School; deployed the development of the Autonomy Project for units under the School. At the same time, arranged and assigned staff in the process of implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus organization.

In his concluding remarks at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the School Council emphasized the need to develop congress documents that are close to practical goals in order to organize the Party Congresses of the departments for the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party cell congresses for the 2025 - 2027 term and move towards the 33rd School Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030. This is the most important political foundation that contributes to building a real goal that creates a premise for innovation in the coming time.

In addition, each cadre and party member must be aware of the school's position throughout 65 years of development and growth. From there, we will try harder to contribute to implementing major projects to realize the vision of becoming a smart university, ranked in the top 500 universities in Asia by 2030, aiming for the top 1,000 universities in the world by 2045; and prepare to implement university autonomy from 2026.
