(Baonghean.vn) - During more than 2 months in Binh Duong, the Nghe An delegation treated nearly 10,000 Covid-19 patients.

Early morning of October 2, the delegation of Nghe An Department of Health including Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department and Dr. Nguyen Huu Le - Deputy Director of the Department were present at Cua Lo town to welcome the delegation supporting Binh Duong to fight the epidemic, who had successfully completed their mission.

Immediately after arriving in Nghe An, the group was taken to a 7-day centralized quarantine at a hotel in Cua Lo town, then quarantined at home for another 7 days.

This is the second medical team from Nghe An to complete the mission of supporting the epidemic center in the South. Currently, Nghe An still has 2 teams with 131 medical teams supporting the southern provinces in fighting the pandemic.

The reinforcement team this time includes 60 doctors and nurses from 20 medical facilities, of which Vinh Medical University has the largest number with 19 people. The team departed on July 28, receiving the task of treating Covid-19 patients at Field Hospital No. 4, Bau Bang District, Binh Duong Province.

"This field hospital has a scale of 3,000 beds, the Nghe An team is assigned to be in charge of half of it, with a total of 1,500 beds. The area we are in charge of is the 2nd and 3rd floors in the 3-storey tower model for treating Covid-19 patients, that is, severe and critical patients," said Dr. Nguyen Trong Tuan - Head of the support team, adding that during the 65 days at Field Hospital No. 4, the Nghe An team treated nearly 10,000 Covid-19 patients.

Speaking at the reception, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh acknowledged and praised the spirit of dedication and commitment of the doctors and nurses. "The past few days have been difficult, with a very high risk of exposure, but you have not minded the difficulties and dangers, in order to save the lives of patients in time, so that they can return home to reunite with their families. These are truly admirable actions, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support in times of adversity and difficulty that needs to be promoted," said the head of Nghe An's health sector.
