Nghe An: Urgently completing the construction of 2,420 houses for the poor in 6 border districts

According to the report results, within the overall implementation of the Project to build "Border communes clean of drugs",With the goal of reducing drug addicts, cleaning up the area, associated with hunger eradication and poverty reduction and implementing social security policies, Nghe An Provincial Police proactively advised and reported to the Ministry of Public Security to support the construction of 1,420 houses for poor households in 27 border communes. In addition, the Director of the Provincial Police organized and supported the construction of 1,000 gratitude houses for poor households and households with difficult housing circumstances in the 3 border districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong and Que Phong. The total number of houses supported for construction in the 6 border districts is 2,420 houses.

To effectively implement, the Provincial Police have proactively coordinated with the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the People's Committees of 6 border districts to unify policies, procedures, roadmaps, and tasks for implementation. On that basis, the Party Committees and authorities of 6 border districts have directed functional units to coordinate with the Police force, mobilize the participation of the entire local political system to urgently implement many effective tasks such as: Reviewing poor households and households with housing difficulties to ensure the right standards and subjects; organizing and mobilizing funds, working days, and materials to support leveling the house ground, making foundations, etc.

In particular, in Tuong Duong, Ky Son and Que Phong districts, with the sense of responsibility and the drastic participation of the district-level Party Committees, authorities, police forces at all levels and the efforts and joint efforts of the political system, thousands of people have been mobilized to support the transportation of materials, foundation construction, house assembly... to complete 3 model houses in Tuong Duong district. In Ky Son district alone, with the mobilization of Major General Pham The Tung, 426/500 foundations have been completed and 123/123 houses in Chieu Luu commune have been assembled, ahead of schedule compared to the plan of the Provincial Steering Committee.

Regarding Plan 169 dated March 18, 2023 of the Provincial Steering Committee on building houses for the poor and people with housing difficulties from mobilized sources from the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police, the conference heard reports on the content related to the scale, model, construction costs, process, implementation roadmap and assignment of specific tasks to localities, forces, departments, branches and related sectors.

On the basis of Plan 169, with a spirit of urgency, determination and responsibility, delegates focused on discussing and agreeing on methods and related issues for effective implementation.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province emphasized the pioneering role as well as highly appreciated the initiative of Nghe An Police in implementing the program.build houses for the poor, people with difficult housing circumstances. He also acknowledged the strong leadership and direction of local authorities in coordinating the implementation of the policy.

Concluding the working session, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police acknowledged and sincerely thanked the departments, branches, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, comrades in the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and People's Committees of 6 border districts for closely coordinating with the Provincial Police to implement the policy of building houses for the poor in the past time.

To successfully complete the tasks according to Plan 169, he requested that departments, branches and sectors promptly pay attention to directing the effective implementation of related contents. For related departments and the Chief of Police of 6 border districts, it is necessary to urgently coordinate and promptly implement the assigned requirements and tasks.
