Nghe An meets to discuss plans to prevent and control Covid-19 in the new situation
(Baonghean.vn) - From November 1, 2021 to now, the Covid-19 epidemic in the province has had many unusual developments, with 1,647 new infections, with over 100 infections recorded per day in recent days; 402 cases are F1 positive on the first test.
On the afternoon of November 26, the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center held an online meeting with 21 districts, cities and towns to listen to and give opinions on Covid-19 prevention and control work in the coming time. Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Commander of the Center chaired the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health said that from the beginning of the epidemic to 8:00 a.m. on November 26, 2021, the whole province recorded 4,130 Covid-19 patients in 21 localities. Since October 1, people's psychology has become subjective, epidemic control measures have changed a lot, so the number of infections in the area tends to increase.
Since October 21, when Nghe An switched to implementing Resolution 128 of the Government, 2,167 cases of infection have been recorded, of which 1/3 are community cases. Since November 1, 2021, the epidemic in the province has had many unusual developments with 1,647 new infections, with over 100 cases recorded per day in recent days. In addition, 402 cases of F1 were recorded as positive on the first test.

Based on the epidemic level classification, the province has 9 level 4 communes, 9 level 3 communes, 77 level 2 communes and 365 level 1 communes. The province is currently piloting the treatment of 68 F0 at the Mobile Medical Station.(Covid-19 patient admission and treatment facility)in Tan Ky district.
Regarding vaccination, the number of people who received at least one injection was 1,852,725 (accounting for 77.2% of people aged 18 and over and 56.1% of Nghe An province's population). The number of people who received two injections was 1,122,355 (accounting for 46.8% of people aged 18 and over and 34% of the province's population).The Provincial People's Committee has issued a Covid-19 vaccination plan for children aged 12-17.
Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, assessed that the epidemic in the province has a high potential risk, widespread development; continuously recording cases of infection in the community and the number of F1 cases testing positive for the first time. The epidemic has penetrated into industrial parks, schools and some crowded places, most patients have no symptoms.

According to the Director of the Department of Health, the epidemic situation will continue but resourcesincreasingly difficult and limited. Pressure from the need to solve employment and ensure social security for people returning from epidemic areas across the country. Controlling people going to and returning from epidemic areas is very difficult. The effectiveness of community Covid teams tends to decrease.
“Many local authorities have been subjective, negligent, and lack initiative in epidemic prevention. Some people are still subjective and do not comply with quarantine regulations in epidemic prevention. Infections in the community appear continuously, most of which have unknown sources of infection, making investigation and tracing difficult.”
At the meeting, leaders of Nghi Loc, Tan Ky, Quynh Luu, and Hung Nguyen localities reported on the situation and measures to prevent and control the epidemic in the area; gave opinions on solutions to prevent and control the epidemic in the coming time, especially the pilot solution of treating F0 at the Mobile Medical Station and isolating at home for high-risk subjects.
