Nghe An restores entry and exit through border gates adjacent to Bolikhamxay and Huaphan provinces (Laos)

The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Official Dispatch No. 2604/UBND-VX (dated April 15, 2022) on implementing the Government's direction on restoring entry and exit policies in the new situation in the province. Accordingly, Vietnam's entry and exit activities at international border gates and secondary border gates in Nghe An province adjacent to Bolikhamxay and Huaphan provinces (Laos) will be restored after a period of interruption to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic.

Regarding subjects; conditions for entry and exit of people, vehicles and import and export of goods; visa exemption policy; regulations on prevention and control of SARS-CoV-2 epidemic are implemented according to current regulations.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requests provincial departments, branches, sectors, mass organizations and People's Committees of districts, cities and towns, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to thoroughly grasp and coordinate with functional forces at border gates to effectively implement the Government's directives on restoring exit, entry and import-export policies in the new situation, and at the same time apply measures to prevent and control the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic in accordance with current regulations, ensuring border circulation.

Previously, the Government issued Official Dispatch No. 1606/VPCP-QHQT dated March 15, 2022 on restoring Vietnam's entry and exit policy. The Bolikhamxay Provincial Government Committee (Laos) issued Official Dispatch No. 06/UBCQ.BLKX dated March 28, 2022: The Huaphan Provincial Government Committee (Laos) issued Official Dispatch No. 76/CTT-HP dated March 23, 2022 on agreeing to restore entry and exit activities in border areas and border trade for the main and secondary border gates between Nghe An province/Vietnam and Bolikhamxay and Huaphan provinces/Laos.

The restoration of Vietnam's entry and exit policy for international border gates and sub-border gates in the province bordering Bolikhamxay and Huaphan provinces (Laos) must ensure compliance with the requirements in Official Dispatch No. 1265/BYT-DP dated March 15, 2022 of the Ministry of Health on Covid-19 prevention and control; Plan No. 829/PA-BVHTTDL dated March 15, 2022 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on reopening tourism activities; Official Dispatch No. 4973/QLXNC-P4 dated March 16, 2022 and Official Dispatch No. 5064/QLXNC-TM dated March 17, 2022 of the Immigration Department - Ministry of Public Security on the implementation of the restoration of entry and exit policies for foreigners.
